Board of Trustees
President, Mark Dehnert is the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of an upscale co-
op in Manhattan. Mark has always been very active in youth sports, coaching boys/girls
basketball, girls softball and Little League baseball. As an elected member of the Secaucus, NJ
Town Council, he heads the Recreation Department.
Vice President, Connie Polanec-Mas served as the director of Global Accounts for Acor Hotels.
In this position Connie had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the world. She is a
graduate of the State University of New York and Chester College, UK. Her colleagues describe
Connie as a rare combination of talent, experience and enthusiasm.
Secretary/Treasurer, Barbara Strobert enjoyed a very successful career in K-12 education as a
teacher, principal and superintendent of schools. Schools under her direction received
numerous awards including designation as a National School of Excellence. Barbara earned a
doctorate degree from Columbia University where she also taught before becoming a professor
at Seton Hall University. Barbara served as a local school board member.
Trustee, Justin Tomascino graduated from Boston University before beginning work at Kone
Industries. Today, Justin is Vice President at Kone, Inc. His leisure time interests include golf
and travel with his family. Justin has coordinated many successful fund raising activities for the
Foundation.
Trustee, Andrew Strobert is an Intellectual Property Lawyer at Verizon. He has an engineering
degree from Rutgers University, a master’s degree from the University of California at Santa
Barbara and a law degree from Seton Hall University. Andy coaches youth soccer in his
community and is an avid skier.
Trustee, Christopher Rinaldi holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, a master’s
degree from Columbia University and a doctorate from Seton Hall University. Chris currently
serves as lieutenant with the Secaucus Police Department where he is active in the local PBA’s
charitable efforts. He has also served in additional roles at local arts non-profits.
Trustee, Frank Strobert, Steven’s son is currently a college student with a special interest in
technology. From a very early age, Frank has been involved in all Foundation charitable
activities. His main recreational interests include snowboarding and hiking.
Trustee, Kristen Zaccardi’s college career was at the University of Connecticut and the
Laboratory Institute of Merchandising where she graduated in 2017. Kristen is employed as an event manager at Kinolta-Minolta. During her school years, Kristen was a champion gymnast.
